Seniors Club

At our club, we bring together our Indian seniors (60+) and promote social engagement, cultural connection, wellness, and lifelong learning, while addressing the unique needs and challenges of aging in a multicultural environment.

Picnic Day

During the summer, with all of the vacations and traveling we can sometimes lose touch with one another. To resolve this, AIA hosts Picnic Day to bring the community together during the summer, and catch up with one another through fun and activities!

Full of music, activities, and fun. We celebrate India’s Independence day with activities like Mehndi, catered food from Indian restaurants, and dances to Indian music.

From avid dancers to those that just want to chat, our Dandiya Night is a place for people to socialize and dance with Dandiyas (sticks) to have fun and celebrate Indian culture.

The Festival of Lights can be lit up by fireworks, or dance! At our Diwali Night, we host numerous performances by groups that have practiced for months, allowing them to display their honed skills from dozens of practice sessions. In addition, there is food and stalls to showcase Indian culture and bring people together.

This is the Youth program for AIA, and it allows our youth to gain real-world experience through assisting AIA with its cultural events. Youth members reach out to local businesses, help organize events, and organize their own meetings, preparing them for higher education and professional careers.

This club brings together seniors from the community for activities like Pickleball, music, and social events. It aims to facilitate interactions between seniors and help them continue socializing with others, and promote improved mental health. Moreover, it teaches seniors about available opportunities and important skills like healthcare and cybersecurity.

Language is an important part of culture, and at the Hindi class, volunteers teach students how to speak, write, and read Hindi to help them understand and use the language, and engage with their culture. We have offered other language classes like Telugu and Tamil in the past, and if interested in those, feel free to contact us!
